Member Briefing: September 23, 2022

Here is a brief weekly update from the RTA business coalition – the voice of the regional business community on transportation.

Final opportunity to join over 80 registrants for next week’s RTA event

We now have more than 80 people signed up to attend our first-ever RTA Regional Transit Awareness day, which we are holding in concert with several of our transit partners next Thursday, September 29. A number of elected officials, transportation leaders, and members of the business and broader community have registered to attend the event.

Attendees will have an opportunity to experience both train and bus modes of travel together across our metropolitan area, along with a series of briefings, breakfast, a catered lunch and a reception hosted by RTP. Please email Jacob for more details; note that the event now allows a maximum of two registrants per private sector member. Please register now, as space is nearing capacity; we will close registration by early this coming week.

The Future of Travel Mobility is now in the past

I had the opportunity to attend a US Travel Association event in Washington DC earlier this week entitled “The Future of Travel Mobility.”  I had the opportunity to hear from several CEO’s including Robert Isom from American Airlines and Chrissy Taylor from Enterprise Holdings about their perspectives on business travel, federal investment, electrification, innovation, and more. Read this week’s blog to learn more about the event.

Thank you for your ongoing dedication to regional business leadership on mobility.

Let’s get moving,

Joe
RTA Executive Director
