RTA members,
This week marked the opening of GoTriangle’s Raleigh Union Station bus facility (a/k/a “RUS BUS”), as well as the beginning of GoTriangle’s first BRT-level of service frequency, with 15-minute service now active between Chapel Hill and Durham on Route 400/405.
In addition, RDU Airport continues to open additional parking spaces in their Park Economy 3 lot, which will provide an enhanced, lower-cost arrival option for those traveling to the airport by automobile. About 500 new spaces opened this week; more than 1500 opened earlier this summer.
In all of these improvements, these infrastructure and service additions by our fellow RTA Regional Leadership Team partners mean less delay for you, the traveler, and a better experience overall.
All very nice to see, and in a growing market these improvements are increasingly “must-haves”.
Congratulations to GoTriangle and to the RDU Airport Authority for excellent work to get us to and through the metropolitan Triangle!
Let’s get moving,
Joe
