A new video for a new, improving, and expanding RDU
Our friends at with RTA Leadership Team member RDU Airport Authority have released an excellent new video highlighting the Airport’s “Vision 2040 RDU Master Plan”. The video speaks to upcoming infrastructure investments that airport is planning to meet the demands of our growing region and the expectations of RDU travelers and guests — including both “landside” (e.g., roadways, rental car, regional transit) and “airside” improvements (e.g., new runway, larger terminals).
Identifying sustainable funding for essential growth at RDU Airport remains the top transportation priority of the regional business community, and the campaign for a new, longer primary runway continues to be our primary focus area. We appreciate the leadership of RTA Gold member RDU Airport for our regional community, and encourage you to watch and share RDU’s new video.
A new school year at Carolina, and a new bikeshare experience
Earlier this year, we noted the return of bikeshare to the Capital City, with Raleigh’s launch of Cardinal Bikeshare. With classes now returning to schools across the Triangle — including UNC Chapel Hill, the nation’s first public university — students, faculty, staff, and visitors to Carolina will have access to a new, all-electric bikeshare option.
