The RTA June 2024 QuickTour to Richmond, Va. is an opportunity to visit a nearby peer city for quick, intentional field visits of a freeway cap, BRT, and other multimodal infrastructure.

TOUR AGENDA

RTA June 2024 QuickTour – summary working agenda

  • 9:30 am – Arrival and registration in Richmond, Virginia
  • 10:00 am – RTA tour program begins / welcome, introductions, overview
  • 11:15 am – Field visit to Kanawha Plaza
  • 12:30 pm – Working lunch, including freeway cap, BRT, TOD, intercity rail
  • 2:00 pm – Field visit to Pulse BRT
  • 3:00 pm – Closing reception; tour closing remarks and next steps
  • by 4 pm – Formal RTA tour ends
  • after closing reception:  optional walking tour of T. Tyler Potterfield Memorial Bridge

The program agenda above does not include travel time from North Carolina to Richmond.

NOTE:  The tour will involve a few walking segments; rarely will those be longer than 15 minutes in duration.

Note:  Pricing above includes mid-morning snacks upon arrival, lunch, afternoon reception at tour ending location, and all tour programming and materials.

Note:  Travel from North Carolina to Richmond is not included in the above pricing.

Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. No refunds after June 11, 2024; however, substitutions are permitted through June 17.
