Member Briefing: December 28, 2018

2018 was a great year and 2019 promises to be even better
As we look back on the year, we can be pleased to see our top priority, accelerating 540 to I-40, moved forward to the brink of construction, including the completion of all federal environmental documents and the awarding of the first and longest construction contract.

Bus rapid transit also advanced with a successful RTA trip to see Richmond, Virginia’s system, the completion of the BRT major investment study in Wake County, and the designation of the City of Raleigh as sponsor for all four corridors.

The year has seen many more accomplishments, and we will highlight those, along with a look to 2019 and the future, at our annual meeting on January 24th. It is less than a month away — please take a moment and register online here.

Thank you for your continued investment in the RTA — we look forward to our strongest year yet for regional business leadership on transportation!

Let’s get moving,

Joe
