Quick updates and reminders

RTA S Florida tour presentations now available
We have posted more than a dozen of the excellent presentations from last month’s RTA tour to South Florida on the tour webpage. The page also includes links to the full, final agenda, as delivered to the 80+ elected, business, and transportation officials on the tour from March 29-31. You can view media coverage from the event here and here if you missed it previously.

It’s always about the money — but not just the money
While funding for RDU continues to be our top organizational priority, the modernization of funding for surface transportation is increasingly vital, particularly given the accelerated growth trajectory of our market.

Later this month, at the NC Chamber Transportation and Infrastructure summit, I will be speaking of several priorities — including our ongoing focus of a vehicle registration-based access user fee option as a simpler, fair, and sustainable way of providing long-term funding and reducing risk to help accelerate multimodal improvements for our streets and roadways. Learn more about the concept, and some related RTA focuses as we head into the spring and the legislative season in this week’s blog.

Thank you for your ongoing dedication to regional business leadership on mobility.

Let’s get moving,
Joe

Joe Milazzo II, PE
