Here is a brief weekly update from the RTA business coalition — the voice of the regional business community on transportation.
Register today – RTA annual meeting is this Thursday
The entire RTA chairs council will provide a rapid overview of the regional mobility landscape at the RTA 19th Annual Meeting – presented by the Research Triangle Foundation of NC – this coming Thursday, Nov. 19. Now is the time to register if you have not already done so — please sign-up by Monday COB. The online event will only take a half hour of your time, and will be worth every minute. RSVP here or email Natalie to secure the ticket(s) included with your membership.
Triangle Bikeway – survey deadline is this Sunday
This week, we participated in an overview meeting on the proposed Triangle Bikeway—a joint effort led by the Capital Area and Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro MPOs to explore a high-quality bicycle corridor parallel to I-40. RTA supports the study and the concept for a more direct, cross-regional travel pathway. Please take just a moment to offer your feedback and support here through this Sunday.
Six Forks Road is becoming a multimodal street
Six Forks Road directly serves the Midtown and North Hills area – along with several RTA member companies and literally thousands of residents. The City of Raleigh is advancing an approved corridor design that will improve travel for motorists, bicyclists, pedestrians, and transit. The City is actively seeking comments on the design and I encourage your engagement via this survey.
Thank you for your membership — I hope to see each of you online next week!
Let’s get moving,
Joe
