Orange County Transit gets bigger, and electric

Earlier this week, I attended Orange County Public Transit’s ribbon cutting event for their updated circulator routes and brand new electric buses.
On June 24th in Hillsborough, the County announced that the existing circulator would be split into two separate routes, which will improve frequency, reduce travel distances, and improve the overall travel experience.
The Orange County main library will serve as a connection point serving both routes. The routes will be served by brand new electric vans, which will reduce maintenance costs.
Kudos to RTA Senior Regional Partner Orange County Transportation for expanding transit offerings in the western Triangle!
