Here is a brief weekly update from the RTA business coalition – the voice of the regional business community on transportation.
RSVP for next week’s online RTA General Membership Meeting on electrification in transportation
RTA’s first general membership meeting of 2023 is this coming Tuesday, January 10th, from 10 am until 11 am. Our conversation will focus on a single topic: “Advanced Clean Trucks” and the Governor’s recent executive order involving same. Our online panelists will include Zach Pierce from the office of Governor Roy Cooper, Mike Abraczinskas and Robin Barrows with the NC Division of Air Quality, and Mark McIntire, the director of environmental policy and government affairs with RTA Leadership Team member Duke Energy. RTA sustainability and environment chair Sarah Gaskill with FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies, a fellow RTA Leadership Team member company, will offer welcome remarks.
If you are interested in joining more than 40 fellow RTA members in this interactive dialogue please use this RSVP link to register.
Our 21st annual meeting is just over 2 (and 3) weeks away
Our next major event, our 21st Annual Meeting — The State of Mobility 2023, will takes place on consecutive Tuesdays later this month. Part 1 will be held on January 24 and will be online only. Part 2 will be held one week later on January 31st and will be in person only at the Embassy Suites in Cary. Both parts of the event begin at 11 am.
Signups for the event remain open; we already have several hundred of our region’s business leaders and partners registered. As a reminder, RTA members have one or more tickets included with their membership, and each ticket provides access to both parts of the event, on January 24 and 31.
If you have any questions about your membership, included tickets, sponsorships or the event overall, please contact Jacob Rigg, RTA membership operations coordinator, at jacob@letsgetmoving.org or 919.664.7062.
Let’s get moving,
Joe
