Here is a brief weekly update from the RTA business coalition – the voice of the regional business community on transportation.
Registration is now open – Regional Transit Awareness day.
Next month, on Thursday, September 29, RTA is planning a Regional Transit Awareness day in concert with several of our transit partners. The event will provide an opportunity for the regional business community and area elected and transportation leaders to focus on transit options and opportunities.
The event will consist of a series of leadership briefings and field visits that will help create a level set / awareness of the region’s current multimodal offerings and plans, along with an understanding about the opportunities that purposeful additional investment can afford our region.

RDU regaining previous altitude
This week saw not one but two destination announcements for RDU, with new flights and destinations by Avelo and BahamasAir to sunny destinations beginning this November. Read this week’s blog for more information.
