Here is a brief weekly update from the RTA business coalition – the voice of the regional business community on transportation.
Upcoming Event: RTA General Membership Meeting On May 17
Don’t forget, our next General Membership Meeting is on May 17 at 10 am (rain date May 19). We will meet on the I-885 Connector itself, weeks before it opens to traffic. We will hear from NCDOT about this outstanding multimodal freeway linkage that is almost six decades in the making. We will have light snacks and drinks on hand to celebrate. All members have received an email from RTA membership operations coordinator Jacob Rigg; please feel free to reach out to him directly at Jacob@letsgetmoving.org if you have questions.
Upcoming Event: RTA Annual Breakfast July 22
Our next major event is the RTA Annual Transportation Breakfast, presented by the Research Triangle Foundation of North Carolina.
We will hear from several outstanding speakers, including:
- Harold Hicks, RTA 2022 chair, RTI International
- Patrick Hannah, RDU Airport Authority chair
- Mikael Cardinal, Unither Bioélectronique Inc.
- Jake Goldman, Beta Technologies
- Thomas Kaufman, United Therapeutics
- Dewey Steadman, United Therapeutics
Registration is now open (one or more tickets are included with your membership), and so are sponsorships ($999 each). Click here to sign-up.
This week’s blog is on the Triangle bikeway, which would provide a safer alternative transportation route but also promote a cleaner environment.
Thank you for your ongoing dedication to regional business leadership on mobility.
Let’s get moving,
Joe
RTA Executive Director
