Here is a brief weekly update from the RTA business coalition – the voice of the regional business community on transportation.
RTA completed an outstanding tour to South Florida this week
More than 80 business, elected, and transportation leaders from the Triangle had an outstanding visit to Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties in Florida this week, as part of the 2022 RTA Regional Leadership Tour, presented by GoTriangle and the NC Railroad Company.
To a person, our attendees were impressed with the array of options, perspectives, and opportunities that our hosts in South Florida have created, with the private Brightline intercity rail and the public Tri-Rail commuter rail being of keen interest to all RTA participants.
WRAL’s Bryan Mims traveled with the group and provided excellent coverage, including his stories which ran on Wednesday and Friday of this week.
We will have more to come on the RTA Regional Leadership Tour to South Florida in the coming days and weeks ahead.
