Member Briefing: March 4, 2022

Here is a brief weekly update from the RTA business coalition – the voice of the regional business community on transportation.

Campaign for new RDU runway: please respond to member survey
If you have not already done so, please fill out this short form as to whether you could send a letter of support this later spring. Sustainable funding for RDU is our highest priority; as we encouraged in this week’s blog, please complete the form today or as soon as you can.  To be clear, you don’t actually need to write the support letter today, or even this month — but we do want to know if you are willing to work on this during the next several weeks.

RSVP for RTA South Florida tour later this month
We have more than 75 people signed up for the RTA 2022 Regional Leadership Tour to South Florida from March 29-31. Tour registration and sponsorships are available and open. Be sure to register, or encourage a colleague to do the same, if you can join the current list of elected, business and transportation leaders who are signed up to attend.

RTA leadership pods — and more
More than 30 members of the RTA Regional Leadership Team gathered in person and online last week during one of five pod gatherings. The discussions were valuable to our members, and are already informing our advocacy and prioritization this spring and summer — more to come. Be also on the lookout for another RTA General Membership meeting later this spring.

Thank you, as always, for your commitment to sustained regional business leadership on mobility.

Let’s get moving,

Joe
