Here is a brief weekly update from the RTA business coalition – the voice of the regional business community on transportation.
Happy New Year from RTA!
2021, despite its challenges, has been an excellent year for regional mobility – and my sense it is the harbinger of greater things to come in 2022.
This past year has been a solid year for regional transportation, and I believe 2022 will be even better: from the upcoming RTA tour to South Florida in late January, to the opening of the I-885 connector in Durham in a few months, to the start of construction of our region’s first enhanced rapid transit corridor — the New Bern Avenue BRT in Raleigh — later this year. Our next weekly member briefing will dive into these and other areas in more detail.
On behalf of the regional business community, I look forward to a prosperous and mobile new year with each of our members, partners and friends.
