Here is a brief weekly update from the RTA business coalition – the voice of the regional business community on transportation.
Registration is now open for RTA tour to South Florida
The regional business community is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the RTA winter 2022 Leadership Briefing and Tour to South Florida, which will be held from January 26-28, 2022. RTA private sector member firms can now request registration for one representative for the tour during the initial registration period, which will extend through October, space-permitting. Public sector partners can register up to three per organization during this time.
Please visit the tour webpage: www.letsgetmoving.org/SouthFlorida for details on pricing, sponsorship opportunities and benefits, a link to request registration and provide payment, how to request waitlist registration for additional attendees, and more. Note: If you have previously pre-registered, we are holding a spot for you, and we will contact you by early next week — although you do not have to wait for us to do so, as you can visit the registration request page directly.
RTA thanks our presenting sponsors – GoTriangle and the North Carolina Railroad Company – for their leadership support of the event. We also thank WSP, HDR, and the Research Triangle Foundation of North Carolina for serving as our first tour event sponsors.
As we noted in last week’s blog, the regional business community recognizes that an increasingly effective, equitable, and indeed exceptional metropolitan rapid transit system will be transformational for our metropolitan region, and for our region’s people. We also believe that the upcoming RTA tour to South Florida — which will include elected officials, transportation partners and business leaders from across our region — will prove to be a catalytic moment for our market and our multimodal mobility future.
While the tour will offer almost limitless potential for discovery, understanding, and conversation, the number of available registrations is limited, so I encourage you to request registration as soon as you can. I look forward to seeing you in South Florida — and also at our RTA 20th annual meeting next month. Thank you for your ongoing support of business leadership for regional mobility.
Let’s get moving,
Joe Milazzo II, PE
RTA Executive Director
