Member Briefing: March 20, 2020

Here is a brief weekly update from the RTA business coalition — the voice of the regional business community on transportation.

Here is a way that we can all help
We received a request from Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, in concert with one of our founding chambers, the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce, to help assist with obtaining vital health care supplies. In particular, they are seeking additional supply of protective masks and touch-free thermal thermometers for our health care community. Please read this week’s blog via letsgetmoving.org/masks and see if you or your company can assist.

RTA Innovations and Solutions Series expands to two days
We are pleased to announce that next month’s RTA Innovations and Solutions Series will expand to two days — April 15 and 16. Made possible by the RTA Leadership Team and held in concert with the Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster, RTA members receive free registration for both dates. Pricing for non-members remains the same at $35.  Sponsorships, available at $999 each, cover both days — please let me know if you are interested in supporting our efforts and advancing innovative mobility solutions.

The future of mobility
Many RTA members are working from home, and your RTA staff is no exception. We are advancing our upcoming Freeway And Street-based Transit (FAST) study in concert with GoTriangle and NCDOT, preparing for the RTA Innovations and Solutions Series event, and developing content and perspectives for our growing R&D Triangle region in this uncertain time. We have already begun engaging many of our members on this directly — more to come.

Thank you for your membership in RTA as we provide regional business leadership for the Triangle, together.

Let’s get moving,

Joe
