Let’s get moving, and let’s help our partners

RTA members and partners,

RTA members and partners including UNC Health, Duke Health, WakeMed Health and Hospitals, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, and several of our member chambers of commerce are highlighting the need for vital health care supplies to deal with the coronavirus and its impact on our health care systems.

In particular, our area hospitals are seeking additional supply of protective masks:

  • N95 facemasks  (filters at least 95% of airborne particles; not resistant to oil)
  • N99  (filters at least 99% of airborne particles; not resistant to oil)
  • N100  (filters at least 99.97% of airborne particles; not resistant to oil)
  • R95  (filters at least 95% of airborne particles; somewhat resistant to oil)
  • P95  (filters at least 95% of airborne particles; strongly resistant to oil)
  • P99  (filters at least 99% of airborne particles; strongly resistant to oil)
  • P100  (filters at least 99.97% of airborne particles; strongly resistant to oil)

All area hospitals can also use:

  • Gloves, disposable (non-latex)
  • Eye Protection, including safety goggles and glasses and face shields
  • Surgical Masks

UNC Health and WakeMed Health and Hospitals also urgently need:

  • Nasal swabs for medical use

UNC Health and WakeMed Health and Hospitals are also seeking any of the following supplies:

  • Disinfectant
  • Gowns, disposable
  • Hand Sanitizer, greater than 60% alcohol
  • Hand Soap
  • Shoe Covers, disposable
