Member Briefing: March 13, 2020

Here is a brief weekly update from the RTA business coalition — the voice of the regional business community on transportation.

The regional business community welcomes Charles Lattuca
This week, GoTriangle voted to hire Mr. Charles Lattuca as the newest president and CEO of our regional transit agency. He hails from Maryland and has been leading a number of ongoing and proposed major rail and bus rapid transit projects in the Washington metropolitan region. RTA welcomes Charles to our market, and we also thank interim GoTriangle President and CEO Shelley Blake Curran for her leadership, friendship, and continued partnership with the regional business community.

Coronavirus and air travel
In lieu of a Thursday Thoughts at 3 blog this week, we conveyed information provided and compiled by our friends at RDU Airport about the response to coronavirus. See the post here and visit rdu.com/covid19 for the latest updates.

RTA Innovations and Solutions Forum will be held online
We have been looking forward to great presentations from a growing list of powerful speakers at our upcoming RTA Innovations and Solutions Forum event, and we still are. However, the April 16th event — in partnership with Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster — will only be held online. Registration pricing remains the same, including multiple “seats” for RTA members, and sponsorships are available for $999 each. Click here for the updated agenda and registration details. We look forward to having you virtually with us next month.

Thank you for your membership in the regional business community’s voice on transportation!

Let’s get moving,

Joe
