Business Group to Release Preliminary Findings Report on RDU Airport Funding at 18th Annual RTA State of Mobility Event this Friday, Jan. 17
CARY—The regional business community’s annual gathering on transportation will feature preliminary findings and recommendations from members of the RTA RDU Airport Infrastructure Development (AID) task force concerning solutions for a long-term $1-$2 billion infrastructure funding gap at RDU.
The State of Mobility 2020 event this Friday, Jan. 17, is the 18th Annual Meeting of the Regional Transportation Alliance, the voice of the regional business community on transportation.
More than 400 regional leaders will be in attendance to celebrate the achievement of the business community’s top transportation priority—the advancement of 540 to I-40—and to commence a new priority one for the organization: identifying sustainable funding for essential growth at RDU Airport.
Event agenda items include:
- 540 celebration and recognition of Southern Environmental Law Center and NCDOT
- The future of RDU, with members of the RTA RDU AID task force
- The State of Mobility 2020, including upcoming business community efforts around transit and traffic relief
- Keynotes on disruptive technology from Dr. Stuart Ginn, WakeMed Innovations, and Dr. Marc Hoit, NC State University
The event on Friday, Jan. 17, takes place 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Embassy Suites Raleigh-Durham/Research Triangle, 201 Harrison Oaks Blvd., Cary. Additional information is here.
