Here is a brief weekly update from the RTA business coalition – the voice of the regional business community on transportation.
Help build the most important two miles of pavement in the Triangle
Earlier this month, more than 20 additional member firms recently signed up to send support letters to optimize and maximize federal funding to replace, relocate, and lengthen RDU’s primary runway. This is on top of the many companies that have already submitted letters to the Federal Aviation Administration to support a new 5L-32R runway. Is your company one of them? If you have not yet submitted a letter — or committed to so this spring — there is definitely time to make an impact. Please email Jacob with your interest and we will connect with you.
75 years and counting — congratulations to NCDOT, and all of us, for the nation’s second largest ferry system
With 21 ferries in eastern North Carolina, several of which are located within 2.5 hours of the Triangle, the second-largest state ferry system in the country is a natural extension of the nation’s second largest state highway network. Read more about the rich and vibrant history in this week’s blog.
Thank you for your ongoing dedication to regional business leadership on mobility.
Let’s get moving,
Joe
