Here is a brief weekly update from the RTA business coalition — the voice of the regional business community on transportation.
Registration opening for RTA Breakfast, space is limited
We look forward to welcoming our members and partners at the 2020 RTA Breakfast on Friday, July 17, at The Umstead Hotel and Spa where we will discuss the findings of the regional FAST network study led by RTA in partnership with GoTriangle and NCDOT.
While we are planning for an excellent in-person event, there is the real potential for capacity limitations so registration will be on a first-come, first served basis. Priority registration will open on Monday for RTA Gold members, followed by Silver on Wednesday, and then Bronze and Standard later in the week. All RTA members have one or more tickets included with your membership.
You will receive an email from Natalie on the day you are able to register this week. Additional information about registration and policies is available on the event page.
Sponsor the RTA Breakfast — a FAST vision for the Triangle
Sponsorships for the RTA Breakfast are available for $999. Our RTA Gold members can also become a presenting sponsor for $5,000. In addition to the in-person event on July 17, sponsors will gain recognition during the online public release of the FAST study findings the day before the breakfast. Please let me know if you are interested in becoming an event sponsor or joining the Research Triangle Foundation of NC as a presenting sponsor.
Dauntless Resolution and a New Hope for Aviation
Our “dauntless resolution” theme for this year – from the inscription on the Wright Brothers National Monument – has unexpectedly become more important and poignant than ever, given the unprecedented economic devastation in our country. Commercial aviation, in particular, is experiencing incomprehensible impacts. I share some thoughts on the outlook for the industry and RDU International in this week’s blog. RTA remains committed to the success of RDU, because RDU is committed to – and essential for – the success of our region.
Thank you for your investment in regional business leadership on transportation as a member of the RTA.
Let’s get moving,
Joe
