Here is a brief weekly update from the RTA business coalition — the voice of the regional business community on transportation.

R-Line improvements may be coming for Raleigh
Raleigh has had a downtown, fare-free circulator for more than a decade. Designed to serve a number of center city destinations, the route has unfortunately experienced a steady decline in ridership for several years. With usage now less than half of what it was back in 2012 — despite more people living and working in downtown — the City and GoRaleigh are focused on making it better. They are seeking feedback on a proposed revised, simpler and more reliable routing for the service. As someone who works downtown, l can say that there are opportunities for improvement, and that the proposed routing is promising. RTA gives thanks for 17 years of partnership
RTA volunteers and staff would like to thank each of the elected, appointed, and career transportation professionals for your ongoing focus, dedication, and collaboration. The women and men of mobility continue to keep commerce flowing and people moving, and it has been an honor to work with each of them since 2002. We are grateful for the partnership, and we look forward to many more years of success together.
