RTA Member Briefing: January 31

RTA members and partners,

We enjoyed seeing more than 300 of our closest RTA friends last week at our 23rd annual meeting in Cary, and we look forward to seeing many of you next Friday, February 7, at our first area caucus of 2025. See registration information below.

RTA area caucuses begin next Friday in Durham

This coming week is the first week in February, and the first RTA area caucus meeting of 2025. Next Friday, February 7, from 1 pm to 3 pm, we will hold an RTA Western Caucus meeting in concert with the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce. The meeting is being hosted by Duke University. Note: networking will begin at 1 pm; the caucus meeting will commence at 1:30 pm and conclude by 3 pm.  (Now that February is upon us, the registration deadline has arrived; please register online now to ensure you can attend).

We have a wonderful roster of speakers at next week’s caucus meeting, including:  Durham Mayor Leonardo Williams; Duke President Vincent Price; RTA chair Sarah Gaskill with FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies; RTA transit chair Stelfanie Williams with Duke University; Becca Gallas with NCDOT/Division 5; Sean Egan with the City of Durham; Ellen Beckmann with Durham County; Katy Fontaine with Chapel Hill Transit; Doug Plachcinski with Triangle West TPO.

Any RTA member can attend any caucus meeting; however, space is limited and pre-registration is required. Please let me or Jacob Rigg (RTA membership operations coordinator) know if you have any questions.

RTA 2024 Annual Report Released

RTA has released our Annual Report for 2024. As noted in this week’s blog, the report highlights major achievements for RTA in concert with our partners. Thank you to each of our members and partners for their work this past year to move the region forward.
