RTA Members,

Happy new year to each of you. As we begin 2025 together, we announce our first area caucus meetings below.  See this week’s blog for information about the recent Tom Tom traffic index report.

 

RTA caucuses begin next month; registration open

Starting in February, RTA will begin holding area caucus meetings. These are periodic, geographically-focused RTA general membership meetings held in concert with an RTA member chamber of commerce.

Each caucus meeting will focus on selected projects or initiatives within one of these geographical areas:

  • RTA Western Caucus area – Durham, Orange, central/western Chatham, Person, Alamance, and Granville counties
  • RTA Northeastern Caucus area – northeastern/central Wake, Franklin, Nash, Wilson, and Vance counties
  • RTA Southern Caucus area – southern Wake, eastern Chatham, Lee, Moore, Johnston, Harnett, and Wayne counties
  • RTA Central Caucus area – southeastern Durham and western Wake counties, including RTP, RDU, I-40/885/US 70 core area

 

Here is the initial schedule of the first two RTA area caucus meetings for 2025:

Friday, February 7, 1 pm – 3 pm:  RTA Western Caucus meeting.
Held in concert with the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce; joint meeting with the Chamber’s policy council. Hosted by Duke University. Focus on regional multimodal projects. (Register online now)

Tuesday, March 11, 8 am – 10 am:  RTA Northeastern Caucus meeting.
Held in concert with the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce; joint meeting with the Chamber’s government affairs committee.  Held at the Wake Forest Town Hall. Focus on accelerating US 1 multimodal freeway. (Register online now.)

 

Any RTA member can participate in any caucus meeting; you can register using the links above. As a courtesy to other members, we ask that you limit registration for each caucus to one per RTA member firm until the final week before each caucus date.
