More than 250 registrations for our 2024 brunch — and for the 16th annual meeting of the I-40 Regional Partnership
RTA members will join fellow members of the regional business community along with regional and statewide leaders in transportation and government at the 2024 RTA Transportation Brunch this coming Tuesday, August 6.
The focus of this year’s event is on the acceleration of multimodal freeways, which are the backbone of our transportation system in the metropolitan Triangle. The line-up of speakers is very strong and can be viewed here; you will hear mention of items including a new GoTriangle regional transit center that will be built in RTP less than one mile from Interstate 40.
Speaking of the Interstate: this year’s brunch event is also the 2024 annual meeting of the I-40 Regional Partnership — a cooperative initiative of RTA and NCDOT with other area partners, founded 15 years ago to provide an ongoing focus on I-40 for travel and commerce.
As we are past the registration deadline, please reach out to my colleague Jacob Rigg with registration questions. RTA members and partners can purchase additional tickets here.
RTA General Membership Online Meeting
On Thursday, October 24th, from 9 am to 10 am– we will have an online-only RTA General Membership and partnership meeting, where we focus on two key priorities: 1) Our ongoing emphasis on going faster to maximize and leverage transportation funding and success, and 2) Our focus on advancing sustainability and grappling with associated tradeoffs.
RTA member firms who are engaged in either of those areas — whether or not they are directly related to transportation and mobility — are encouraged to send us a note with a topic they would like to potentially present on to the regional business community and our partners at the meeting. First priority will be for our RTA Leadership Team companies. Let me know if you have questions on this opportunity.
Let’s get moving,
Joe Milazzo II, PE
RTA executive director
