RTA 2026 Leadership Briefing and Field Visit to Annapolis and Suburban Maryland

The regional business community and RTA Maryland tour honorary co-chairs Patrick Norman, NCDOT Chief Engineer and Julie White, NCDOT Deputy Secretary for Multi-modal Transportation, welcome you to the 2026 RTA Leadership Briefing and Field Visit.
RTA’s first overnight out-of-market field visit in more than four years will happen on July 20 and 21. RTA and our partners will visit the Annapolis, Central Maryland, and Suburban Maryland area. We will have an opportunity to learn about and/or visit various examples of multimodal infrastructure and priorities, including:
- BRT
- Junior freeways
- Ramp management
- Transit policy

Note: Registration includes: mid-morning snacks upon arrival, lunch, afternoon snacks, evening reception, breakfast, lunch, travel during the Maryland tour, hotel, and all tour programming and materials. Travel from North Carolina to Maryland is not included in the above pricing.

Registration and payment deadlines
- To receive pre-June 1 pricing, you must register by June 1, 2026.
- Payment requested ASAP, but must be received by July 15, 2026.
Cancellation policy
- Before June 1, 2026 – no penalty.
- Between June 1 and July 1, 2026 – $200.
- Between July 1 and July 12, 2026 – $450.
- After July 12, 2026 – $700.
- Note, substitutions are permitted without penalty through July 16, 2026.
