The State of Mobility 2026 event, including The State of RDU — please reserve your seat(s) today

As highlighted in a WRAL story and video this week, and as we noted in last week’s blog, RDU Airport is a vital and growing link to the world. It must and will transform and grow, just as our region continues to evolve.

We will have much more to say about the airport during our RTA 24th annual meeting — The State of Mobility 2026 — in just two weeks, on Friday, January 23. The event will include a detailed focus on air service and related infrastructure, including The State of RDU Airport and a companion conversation with business leaders.

The event will feature an update on all RTA advocacy priorities for 2026 in addition to the panel discussion, all spearheaded by members of the RTA chairs council. Please see this week’s blog for an update on the current speakers and panelists for the event.

All RTA members have at least one included ticket to this event and additional tickets can be purchased for $75.

Please reach out to my colleague Jacob Rigg with registration questions, including confirming the tickets included with your membership.

A new year means a growing RTA

A heartfelt welcome to each of our newest RTA members, including T.A. Loving Company, Eagle Eye Consulting, and WGI. We are pleased to have each of your organizations as a part of our regional business leadership group. Thank you also to each of our returning members, some of whom have been with us for more than 20 years. Our entire member list can be found here.

RTA chair Sarah Gaskill has noted, “RTA helps leading businesses have strong, informed, public voices, ensuring continued focused efforts on infrastructure to support employment, mobility, and growth challenges.”

Thank you to the RTA Regional Leadership Team and our entire membership for their ongoing, purposeful engagement on mobility. RTA is a strategic investment in both an employee satisfaction issue and a regional prosperity driver. We will continue to move the region forward for the same reason we have been successful for more than two decades: by working with focus, together. Thank you for your continued support and partnership in 2026.

Have a great weekend, everyone.

Let’s get moving,

Joe
