August begins on Saturday, and our RTA summer Brunch deadline has arrived
We are one week away from our RTA 2026 Transportation Brunch event, which will be held next Friday morning, August 7, at the Westin RDU Airport hotel.
While one or more tickets are included with your RTA membership, if you have not registered yet, I urge you to contact my colleagues Jacob Rigg or Alea Morales today, as we are approaching venue capacity and may activate a waitlist.
We have more than 300 regional colleagues who are already registered to hear keynote speaker Andrew Miller, Ph.D., offer his perspectives on transportation innovation and on our polycentric market, along with updates from several RTA Steering Committee members including RTA chair Sarah Gaskill with FUJIFILM Biotechnologies.
We are looking forward to catching up with about 25 dozen of our closest friends and partners next week, and I want you included in that list. Please let me know if you have any questions about the event.
A few examples of innovation, acceleration, and preparation
While I have spent the majority of my life in North Carolina, I am a native of western Pennsylvania, and Pittsburgh has an impressive infrastructure investment to celebrate this week, with the opening of what is potentially the longest lateral slide bridge project (by sideways slide distance) in US history. This week’s blog highlights that accomplishment, and it also recognizes a completely different sort of (non-transportation) infrastructure investment, that has led to outstanding life science economic development success in Holly Springs – both for and thanks to several RTA Leadership Team members.
Kudos to all those who are investing in the future, with intention, foresight, and a service mindset for their company, community, and region.
