More speakers confirmed for RTA annual meeting, and more are coming
The RTA annual meeting is now only six weeks away, and we are looking forward to a fantastic event with our members and partners. Our roster of confirmed speakers and panelists has increased, and now includes:

- Mike Landguth, Raleigh/Durham Airport Authority, president and CEO
- Sarah Gaskill, FUJIFILM Biotechnologies, RTA chair
- Scott Levitan, Research Triangle Foundation of North Carolina, RTA legislative and policy chair
- Nicole Niwa, Novo Nordisk, RTA air service and infrastructure chair

We will have more updates in the coming weeks, including representatives from several airlines serving RDU as well as members of our RTA Steering Committee. Zero Fare Transit to Activate in Orange County on January 2nd
This week the Orange County Board of Commissioners approved a one year pilot program, beginning in January, for Orange County Public Transportation (OCPT) fixed transit routes to go fare free. Orange County Transportation is a member of the RTA Regional Leadership Team. Read more about the activation of zero fare transit for OCPT in this week’s blog.
I-40 task force — reminder of new meeting date
The I-40 Partnership rapid, scalable implementation (RSI) task force will focus on identifying potential rapid, scalable implementation improvements for I-40, in “super low cost”, “low cost”, and “high cost” strategy categories. RTA and NCDOT are coordinating the task force meeting under the ongoing I-40 Regional Partnership initiative.
