Here is a brief weekly update on some items of interest and current activities of the RTA business coalition–feel free to share with your associates.
RTA working to make new state transportation map out-of-date
North Carolina’s 2017-18 State Transportation Map is now available. Updated every two years, the publication includes a statewide highway map and more detailed city and regional maps. Of course, RTA and key partners including NCDOT are working to advance 540 in southern Wake, get I-87 signed in eastern Wake, and prepare for the new I-885 in Durham – all of which will necessitate a new map before too long. In the meantime, you can download the current Triangle regional map here; more map links available here.
Delta upgrades RDU-Paris flight
Just over one year after launching the nonstop service to the French capital, Delta Air Lines has begun using a larger, Boeing 767 aircraft for the route. The service has been very successful for Delta, which also launched service to Austin earlier this year and adds Seattle and Nashville service in June.
RDU adds another nonstop flight to Vegas
Speaking of flight improvements, Frontier Airlines is launching new nonstop service from RDU to Las Vegas this August. The addition will be RDU’s second daily nonstop flight to Las Vegas, complementing the current service via Southwest.
Thank you for your ongoing support of organized, focused regional business leadership through RTA.
Let’s get moving,
