RSVP today for RTA member meeting this Thursday
This coming Thursday morning, October 5, we will have our next RTA general membership meeting. Included with your membership and only an hour in duration, we will cover the landscape of issues and opportunities facing our market. We will speak to the new on-ramp signals on 540, the region’s Amazon recruitment and how mobility stacks up, and more. RSVP to Natalie as soon as you can; feel free to reply directly to this e-mail if that is easier.
On-ramp signals are making things better
The new on-ramp signals for travelers heading to I-540 westbound between the Falls of Neuse and Leesville are progressing nicely. NCDOT reports that some travelers along the 540 mainline were saving up to 10 minutes. Please let me know how your commute is going if you regularly travel the 540 on-ramp signal corridor in North Raleigh.
I-40 Fortify – we are getting closer
Eastbound travelers headed to downtown Raleigh from Durham and Cary now have access to the S. Saunders Street loop ramp again as of yesterday morning. This will save motorists time and aggravation. In addition, we are only a few weeks away from the substantial completion of all westbound lanes. Keep on, keeping on, NCDOT!
Thank you for being a vital part of the regional business community’s voice for mobility through RTA!
Let’s get moving,
Joe Milazzo II, PE
RTA Executive Director
