RTA Breakfast – registration ends today
We are less than a week away from a terrific RTA breakfast event — with a great opportunity for you to get a leg up on what is here and coming from an air travel standpoint at Raleigh-Durham International. We will begin by hearing a briefing from RDU President and CEO Mike Landguth about current and upcoming improvements at the airport. Mike will then introduce our keynote speaker, Delta Air Lines’ SVP Joe Esposito, who will detail why Delta has named RDU as a “focus city”, and what that means going forward for our region. You have one or more tickets included with your RTA membership – but you need to register today to reserve your seat if you have not already done so.

RTA QuickTour – save $75 if you register today
In just over two weeks, you can join more than 50 elected, transportation, and business leaders from the Triangle at our RTA QuickTour to Richmond, Va.  Richmond just opened their Pulse Bus Rapid Transit system earlier this summer, and their ridership is slightly ahead of projections. With 6 rapid transit lines proposed for the Triangle, including 5 BRT corridors, this is a great opportunity to learn with your peers, hear from their mayor and several professional staff members, and make new connections. The price is only $225 for members, but you can save even more and pay only $150 if you sign-up by today’s early registration deadline.

Yet one more reason why the voice of business on transportation is important
This week, REALTOR.com unveiled their list of the fastest-growing suburbs in America, and our own Apex was at the top of the list for the entire country. Keeping up with that growth from a mobility standpoint is exactly why the RTA organization exists — to provide business leadership to get and keep our growing region moving faster. From new freeways like 540 to critical transit linkages across the Triangle, vital investments in mobility will keep our economy moving and our quality of life where it needs to be.

RTA members make an informed, prominent impact on our region. Thank you for your investment!

Let’s get moving,

Joe Milazzo II, PE
RTA Executive Director
