Cisco, IBM Leaders Explore High-Tech Transportation Future at Annual Regional Business Forum

RESEARCH TRIANGLE REGION—The Regional Transportation Alliance business coalition’s 15th annual meeting will explore the possibilities for a smart, connected, and autonomous transportation future. Hundreds of public and private sector leaders will hear from leading industry executives about advancements and emerging innovations in technology that will impact the Triangle’s mobility.

Keynote speakers include:

  • Fran O’Sullivan, IBM – General Manager, Global Operations, IBM Global Business Services, and IBM Senior State Executive for North Carolina
  • Jack Klecha, Cisco – Senior Manager, Secure Internet of Things (IOT), Cisco Security and Trust Organization
  • Matthew Lesh, Meridian Autonomous – Chief Commercial Officer; former Local Motors’ Director of Mobility Systems

In addition, RTA Executive Director Joe Milazzo II, PE, will offer a perspective on the future of transportation in our market and the steps we will need to relieve increasing traffic congestion amidst ongoing growth, funding, and political challenges.

The RTA 15th annual meeting takes place this Thursday, Dec. 15, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., at the Embassy Suites Raleigh-Durham/Research Triangle in Cary.
