Bruce Sargent, is the Director of North America Real Estate Operations for IBM. In this role, he is responsible for managing the day to day activities for all IBM’s real estate holdings, approximately 35 million square feet in the United States and Canada.
Bruce’s career began in the early 1980’s in Massachusetts when he worked in the real estate organizations for Wang Laboratories, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Lotus Development. When IBM acquired Lotus in 1995, Bruce became part of the management team in IBM’s real estate organization, where he has been responsible for many different aspects of real estate management, strategy and implementation. Bruce relocated to North Carolina in 2006 with his wife and daughter and reside in Chapel Hill. Bruce was the President of the RTP Owners and Tenants Organization at Research Triangle Park and also was on the Board of Directors of the Research Triangle Foundation for 3 years. Bruce has been a member of the RTA for 9 years.
